📦 Shipping Information
At The Book Girl Club, every order is packed with care and shipped as quickly as possible so your new bookish goodies can find their way to you.
🤍 Before You Order (Important)
It is the customer’s responsibility to enter the correct shipping address at checkout.
We ship to the exact address provided, so please double-check your details before completing your order.
If you need to update your address, please email info@thebookgirlclub@gmail.com
Address changes can be made until the end of the day the order was placed.
After this, your order may already be in processing and no edits can be made.
🚫 Undeliverable / Return-to-Sender Packages
🕒 Processing Time
Orders are prepared and shipped within 2–4 business days from Calgary, Alberta.
(Weekends and holidays excluded.)
All items are packed by hand — thank you for your patience. 🤎
🇨🇦 Shipping Within Canada
All orders are shipped using real-time calculated rates at checkout.
Shipping costs will depend on your delivery address and are automatically provided by Shopify based on current carrier rates.
We primarily ship with Canada Post or Purolator, depending on the service available for your region.
A tracking number will be emailed to you as soon as your order has shipped.
📬 Delays or Missing Orders
Delivery times can vary depending on the carrier.
If your order hasn’t arrived within 3 weeks from the shipment date, please contact me at info@thebookgirlclub@gmail.com and I’ll be happy to help look into it for you.
🌍 International Shipping (USA & Select Countries)
We currently ship to the USA and select international destinations.
Shipping is available to eligible countries at flat rates, which will be shown at checkout based on your shipping address.
Please note:
• Delivery times vary depending on your country and local postal service
• Tracking will be provided whenever available for your region
• Customs processing may cause delays that are outside of my control
You will receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships. ✈️📦
💸 Duties, Taxes & Import Fees
At this time, The Book Girl Club offers prepaid duties/taxes for USA orders only. This means US customers will not be charged surprise import fees on delivery when selecting our Duties Included shipping option.
For all other international destinations outside of Canada and the USA, your order may be subject to customs duties, VAT, import taxes, handling fees, or other local charges once your parcel arrives in your country.
These charges are not included in your order total and are set by your local customs authority. Any applicable fees remain the customer’s responsibility.
If an international parcel is refused, abandoned, or returned due to unpaid customs charges, original shipping costs are non-refundable, and any return fees charged by the carrier may be deducted from the refund.
🚫 International Return-to-Sender Parcels
If an international parcel is returned due to:
• unpaid customs fees
• an incorrect or incomplete address
• delivery refusal
• failure to collect the package in time
a new shipping label must be purchased by the customer before the order can be resent.
